IN-SIGHT NO.1 (1995)

In-sight No.1 is a multimedia installation/performance taking place in two different spaces simultaneously.

In one big space, there are 3 violin players, scattered around, so the audience can walk between them, and thus hear different angles of musical composition, according to relative distances to each of the violinists.

In another space, the sound of the violinists is flattened through process of amplification. The audience can now hear all of the violinists equally loud, and thus hear the composition in its entirety. Since the violinists are hocketing, the difference between what you hear in the two different spaces is astonishing.
