IN-SIGHT NO.1

1995|3 violin players, music score, video projection, slide projections.

In-sight No.1 is a multimedia installation/performance taking place in two different spaces simultaneously.

In one big space there are 3 violin players scattered around, so the audience can walk between them, and thus hear different angles of musical composition according to relative distances to each of the violinists. In another space, the sound of the violinists is amplified and mixed together. The audience can now hear all of the violinists equally loud, and thus hear the musical composition in its entirety. Since the composition is based entirely on hocketing technique, the difference between what the visitors hear in the two different spaces is astonishing.
